There have been many posts concerning numbers:
Latin numbers are far older
than Latin! They derive from a common language known as Proto-Indo-European
(PIE), a reconstructed language (indicated by *) which was the
ancestor of most languages spoken in Europe. The numbers used in the oldest
European languages and the languages which developed from them are all derived
from this common language hence the similarity [image #1].

Proto-Indo-European is shown in the third image: the numbers 1-10 in
Sanskrit.
