[1] The suffix -ōsus meaning ‘full of’ is used to form adjectives from nouns.

aestus: heat

  • aestuōsus, -a, -um: hot; sultry

nebula: fog

  • nebulōsus: foggy

nix: snow

  • nivōsus: snowy

pluvia: rain
