18.04.24: weather adjectives [2]

Latin, like English, can have more than one word for describing similar types of weather feature, for example ‘a dark sky’ and ‘a gloomy sky’, ‘hot weather’ and ‘humid weather’:

maestus, -a, -um: gloomy

(h)ūmidus, -a, -um: humid

sūdus, -a, -um: bright; clear
