[1] and [2]: the forms of the relative and interrogative pronouns only differ in the singular. Where genders share endings is marked in yellow.

[1] relative pronouns

  • quī, quae, quod: who, which, that

Although titled as relative pronouns, they have two functions:

(1) relative pronoun

Liber quem legō ā Cicerōne scrīptus est. | The book which / that I’m reading was written by Cicero.

(2) The same word also functions with a noun as an interrogative adjective.

quī liber? | which book?

quem librum legis? | Which book are you reading?

  • quis, quid: who?; which?; what?
